Description
A Clean Floor Should Be a State, Not an Event. Most homes do not fail at cleaning, they fail at maintenance: the daily pass that never happens because the vacuum lives in a cupboard and the mop lives in a bucket. The P20 Pro is built around the opposite premise. It works while the room is empty, returns to a station that empties it, washes it and dries it, and asks for human attention roughly once a month rather than once a day.
The engineering that makes that possible is concentrated in two places. On the robot, 8,000 Pa of suction pulls dust, hair and grit out of grout lines and low-pile carpet with 50W of motor draw and a 270ml onboard dust box, running between 2.7 and 3.8 hours per charge. On the base station, a 600W assembly handles the unglamorous work: a 3L dust bag that holds weeks of debris, a 4L clean water tank feeding the mop, hot air drying so the pad does not sit damp, and a drainage path that keeps the dirty water out of the machine.
The result is a floor that stays clear without a routine attached to it. Mapping and zone control let you fence off a rug, a pet bowl or a cable nest, and the mop lifts and wipes rather than dragging a wet pad across the whole apartment. Consumables are ordinary: bags, pads, a filter. Nothing here needs a subscription to function, which matters when a device is expected to sit in a corner for five years.
The best cleaning schedule is the one you never have to remember.
Why This Configuration Works
- 8,000 Pa suction — pulls hair and grit out of grout lines and low-pile carpet
- Self-emptying 3L base — weeks of debris without touching the robot
- 4L clean water tank — mopping capacity that matches a full apartment pass
- Hot air pad drying — stops the damp-pad smell that ruins most mop robots
- Wash and drainage cycle — dirty water leaves the machine instead of sitting in it
- 2.7 to 3.8 hour runtime — 50W robot draw, sized for a full floor in one charge
- Zone and no-go control — fence off rugs, pet bowls and cable nests

Where it earns its footprint
This is a machine for a home where the floor is in constant use and nobody wants to be the person who runs the vacuum: apartments with pets, open-plan living areas that collect hair and crumbs through the day, and households where two people work late and the evening is not going to be spent mopping. It suits hard floors with area rugs, because the mop can be lifted and the suction still reaches the carpet edge. Plan roughly 60 cm of wall for the station, a socket nearby, and a clean water refill about once a week; the dust bag is a monthly item, not a daily one.
Questions Buyers Ask Before Ordering
Q: Does it vacuum and mop in one pass?
A: It vacuums and mops in a combined cycle, and the mop pad lifts when the robot crosses carpet so a rug is not left damp. For heavily soiled hard floors, a dedicated mop-only pass gives a better result.
Q: How often do I empty it?
A: The station holds a 3L dust bag, which is typically several weeks of everyday debris. The robot dust box is 270ml and is transferred automatically on each dock.
Q: Does it need plumbing?
A: No. The station uses a 4L clean water tank you refill and a dirty water path that drains into the station, not into your pipes. No plumber, no permanent connection.
Q: Will it cope with pet hair?
A: Yes, and the rubber-and-brush combination is chosen for it. Long hair still wraps the brush occasionally, so a two-minute check every couple of weeks is worth the habit.
Q: Can I stop it entering a room?
A: Mapping supports no-go zones and room selection, so doorways, cable nests and pet feeding areas can be excluded from the schedule.
Q: What consumables does it use?
A: Dust bags, mop pads and a washable filter. All are standard items and none are required for the machine to run.
Q: Is it suitable for thick carpet?
A: It is designed for hard floors, tiles, laminate and low-pile rugs. Deep pile carpet needs a different class of vacuum with a powered brush deck.
Q: Can I run it on a schedule?
A: Yes. Once the map is saved you can schedule whole-home or per-room passes and set suction and water level per room. The station keeps the robot charged between runs, so the schedule does not depend on you remembering to plug anything in.
Q: Does the mop pad dry itself?
A: Yes. After the wash cycle the station runs hot air drying across the pad, so it is not left damp against the plate for hours between runs, which is where the smell in older mop robots usually comes from.
