描述

Space Is Rare. Boundaries Should Be Portable. An open plan is generous until you need to think, and that is the moment a folding screen stops being decoration. Five anthracite panels, 250 by 200 centimetres overall, standing on their own feet and folding flat when the room has to go back to being a room.

The frame is iron, the panels are a 100 percent polyester fabric with a weave that filters light instead of killing it. That distinction matters: a screen that blocks light turns a corner into a cave, while this one keeps the room lit and simply removes the sightline. Each panel measures 46.5 by 178 centimetres, and the hinges hold position at whatever angle you set them, so the screen can wrap a desk or flatten against a wall.

Assembly is a manual and twenty minutes, nothing more, and the whole thing folds down to a fraction of its standing footprint for storage. It works as a bedroom divider, a window screen against low afternoon sun, a backdrop for calls, and a wall behind a reading chair that did not previously have a defined edge.

Privacy is not a wall. Sometimes it is five panels and a hinge.

Where It Belongs

Useful wherever a room has to do two jobs: a studio apartment separating sleep from work, a shared office carving out a call corner, a bedroom that needs a changing area, or a living room that needs a softer backdrop than a blank wall. The anthracite tone sits quietly against wood, white and concrete, which is why it works as a permanent fixture rather than a temporary fix.

Questions Buyers Ask

Q: Does it block light completely?

A: No. The fabric filters light, which keeps the room usable on both sides. If you need blackout, this is the wrong product and a solid panel screen is the right one.

Q: Can it stand without being attached to a wall?

A: Yes. The five panels form a zigzag footprint that stands on its own. On very smooth floors, angle the outer panels slightly for extra stability.

Q: How long does assembly take?

A: Around twenty minutes with two people. The manual is included, and no drilling is required because the screen is freestanding.

Q: Can I shorten the panels?

A: Not without cutting the frame, which voids the finish. The 178 centimetre panel height is set to work under standard ceilings, so treat the height as fixed.

Q: Is the fabric removable for washing?

A: The fabric is fixed to the frame. Clean with a vacuum brush attachment or a slightly damp cloth, and avoid soaking the panels.

Q: Will it fit a 2.4 metre wall?

A: Yes. At 250 centimetres wide it covers most of a standard wall, and because it is hinged you can leave one panel angled to fit a shorter span.

Q: Does it come with feet or castors?

A: It stands on the panel frames themselves with no castors, so it does not roll. That is deliberate: rolling screens drift, and a screen that drifts stops being a wall.

Q: Can two units be joined into one longer wall?

A: Yes. Because every panel is hinged, two units can be placed end to end and angled to read as a single continuous screen across a five metre span.

Q: Can I use it to hide a kitchen from a living area?

A: Yes, and it is a common use. The fabric filters rather than blocks, so kitchen light still reaches the living side while the sightline from the sofa to the sink is closed off.

Fabric feels better than expected

Expected thin imported fabric and got something with weight. Anthracite is a proper charcoal, matches my oak floor.

Two people for assembly

Twenty minutes with my partner, no drama. Freestanding is the point, it does not lean on the wall at all.

Keeps the room lit

Bought it to separate a work desk from the living area and it does the job without turning the corner dark. Hinges hold the angle exactly where I set them.
