描述

The sun does not send an invoice. But without the right controller, most of its energy never reaches your batteries at all. The Harvester is a 60-amp Maximum Power Point Tracking controller, the kind of quiet infrastructure that decides whether a solar array is an investment or a hobby: it continuously hunts the voltage and current point where your panels produce the most power, and converts that window into usable charge instead of letting it dissipate as heat.

Engineered around a DSP core, the Harvester reaches a conversion efficiency of at least 98.1 percent with PV utilization above 99 percent, which means the difference between panels rated on paper and energy actually banked stays small. It auto-detects 12V, 24V, 36V and 48V battery banks, accepts solar arrays up to 160V open-circuit, and includes profiles for LiFePO4 and other lithium chemistries, so modern batteries charge to the right voltage curve instead of an outdated lead-acid default.

When one controller is not enough, up to twelve units operate in parallel, letting a system grow from a single campervan panel to a small homestead array without swapping hardware. Forced air cooling keeps the power stage stable under sustained load, and the LCD display makes state-of-charge, voltage and current visible at a glance instead of hiding them in an app.

This is not a charge controller. It is a financial instrument for people who collect sunlight.

Application Scenarios

The Harvester belongs wherever sunlight meets a battery bank: campervans and RVs where every amp decides how long the fridge runs, sailboats and fishing boats where charge must be banked during a short solar window, cabins and tiny homes running 12V or 24V lighting and pumps, and small off-grid homesteads that grow from one controller to a parallel stack as the array expands. It equally suits workshop solar workbenches and emergency backup systems that need to charge a 48V bank from panels without fuss.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the difference between MPPT and PWM controllers?

A: An MPPT controller tracks the panel's maximum power point and converts the excess voltage into charge current, typically recovering 20-30% more energy than a PWM controller in cold or cloudy conditions. The Harvester uses true MPPT with a DSP core for the full efficiency gain.

Q: Can it charge lithium and LiFePO4 batteries?

A: Yes. The Harvester includes battery profiles for LiFePO4 and other lithium chemistries, so it charges to the correct voltage curve rather than a generic lead-acid profile.

Q: What is the maximum solar input voltage?

A: The controller accepts up to 160V open-circuit voltage from the solar array. Always confirm your panel string voltage stays within this limit before wiring.

Q: How do I expand the system later?

A: Up to twelve Harvester units can be connected in parallel. This lets you add panels and battery capacity over time without replacing the existing controller.

Q: Does it work with a 12V or 48V system?

A: Both, and more. The controller auto-detects 12V, 24V, 36V and 48V battery banks, so the same unit adapts to the system you build.

Q: Is the LCD display easy to read outdoors?

A: Yes. The LCD shows charging current, battery voltage, PV voltage and system status in real time, readable in daylight and at night alike.

Q: Can I use it with a generator or grid charger in the same system?

A: Yes. The controller manages solar charging cleanly alongside other charge sources, and its battery profiles ensure all sources respect the same voltage setpoints, protecting the bank from overcharge.

Q: What protection does it offer for my battery bank?

A: The Harvester includes the standard protections you expect from a professional controller: overcharge, over-discharge, reverse polarity, short circuit, over-temperature and over-current protection, all handled by the built-in DSP.

Works as advertised

Installed in the boat and it auto-detected 12V correctly. The 160V PV limit gives me room to add a second panel later. Only wish the manual covered parallel wiring in more detail.

Parallel setup for my cabin

Two units in parallel charging a 48V bank at the cabin. Setup was straightforward and the LCD shows both units balanced. The efficiency claim holds up in practice.

Banked more amps than my old PWM

Swapped a PWM unit for this on my 24V camper setup. Same panels, noticeably more charge by evening, especially under partly cloudy skies. The LCD is easy to read and the LiFePO4 profile works perfectly.
