描述

A Jack Is Judged in the Ten Seconds It Fails. The scissor jack that ships with a car is a compromise - slow to wind, unstable on gravel and tiring at exactly the moment you least want to be tired. The Lift Column replaces the winding with compressed air and replaces the wobble with a six-section steel column.

Where a conventional air jack uses five tubes, this one uses six, and the section lengths are tuned so the column rises smoothly and stays stable under load rather than binding when a heavier vehicle is lifted. A thickened, enlarged rubber pad tops the column and the booster section, spreading the contact patch so the force is even and the underside is not marked. Height range runs from 140 mm for low-chassis cars to 554 mm with the booster column fitted, covering family sedans, SUVs, pickups and light commercial vehicles.

Operation is a valve, not a crank. Connect an air compressor at the G1/4 inlet, open the valve and the vehicle lifts in seconds; the adjustable handle moves through three angles, 45, 90 and 180 degrees, so it can be worked upright for storage or swung out for leverage without bending. Durable nylon wheels let the whole unit slide under the car, and the load ratings are 3 ton and 5 ton, with the 5-ton version rated to 11,000 pounds.

Seconds to lift, three handle angles, six steel sections - the jack that behaves like a tool, not a compromise.

Key Features

  • ✦ 3 ton and 5 ton load ratings, with the 5-ton model rated to 11,000 lbs
  • ✦ Six-section telescopic steel column for smoother, more stable lifting than five-section designs
  • ✦ Thickened non-slip rubber pads on the column and booster for an even, damage-free contact patch
  • ✦ Lifting range 230-554 mm with booster, or 140 mm minimum without it, for low-chassis cars
  • ✦ Adjustable handle with 45, 90 and 180 degree positions to suit any working height
  • ✦ Nylon wheels that roll the jack under the vehicle without bending
  • ✦ Valve-controlled inflation through a G1/4 inlet for hands-off lifting in seconds

Application Scenarios

The Lift Column is built for the home mechanic with an air compressor, the mobile tyre and service van, and the small workshop that wants a fast, stable lift without committing the floor space of a two-post ramp. It also suits fleets and roadside kit where a compact jack must cover sedans, SUVs and pickups with one unit and one air line.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does it need an air compressor?

A: Yes. The jack is pneumatic and operates from an external air compressor connected at the G1/4 inlet valve.

Q: How high does it lift?

A: The range runs from a 140 mm minimum for low-chassis cars to 554 mm when the booster column is fitted.

Q: Will it support a pickup or SUV?

A: The 5-ton version is rated to 11,000 pounds and covers sedans, SUVs, pickups, micro trucks and light commercial vehicles.

Q: Why six steel sections instead of five?

A: The extra section lets the column extend more gradually, which keeps it stable and reduces the chance of binding under heavy load.

Q: Can the handle be used at different heights?

A: The handle adjusts through 45, 90 and 180 degrees, so it can be worked upright for storage or swung out for leverage.

Q: Will the pad damage the underside of the car?

A: The top and booster use thickened, enlarged non-slip rubber pads, which spread the load evenly and protect the underbody.

Q: How much air pressure does it need?

A: It runs from a standard workshop or portable air compressor connected at the G1/4 inlet valve, and the valve controls the inflation speed.

Q: Can it be stored upright?

A: Yes. The handle moves to a 90-degree position so the jack stands compactly in a garage or vehicle locker.

Q: Is the 3 ton version enough for an SUV?

A: For most family SUVs and sedans the 3 ton rating is sufficient; choose the 5 ton version for heavier pickups and light commercial vehicles.

How It Compares

A scissor jack winds by hand, arrives with the car and is rated for the one vehicle it came with. A trolley jack is fast and stable but heavy, and it needs a flat floor and dedicated storage. The Lift Column takes the pneumatic middle: an air compressor supplies the lift, so a vehicle rises in seconds rather than minutes, and the six-section column carries load ratings of 3 or 5 ton across sedans, SUVs and pickups. Against a five-section air jack, the extra stage lifts more gradually and binds less under heavy vehicles. Against a bottle jack, it is far quicker - and against both, it needs no winding, no pumping and no kneeling in gravel.

Handle angles are handy

The 90 degree upright position makes it easy to store. Needs an air compressor, which is the only caveat.

Stable with the six-section column

Feels far more planted under load than the five-section jack I borrowed before. Pad does not mark the underside.

Lifts in seconds

Hooked it to my compressor and the SUV came up in a couple of seconds. No winding, no kneeling.
